Regardless of breed, size and age, all dogs are welcome at Dapper Dogs.
Before your dogs grooming session starts, we will discuss your grooming needs with you.
Clipping - the coat is clipped with electric clippers, this needs to be done regularly for easy maintenance of the coat.
Handstripping - the coat is stripped out by hand, this helps to maintain the texture and colour of the coat.
Scissoring- the dog can be scissored to a desired length of the owners choosing. Expert knowledge of coat types combined with skilled scissoring results in a beautifully balanced stylish finish for your dog.Regular trimming keeps your dogs coat in excellent condition.
Grooming- the dog is thoroughly groomed to remove loose coat and mats
Bathing- the dog is thoroughly washed in a shampoo to suit his/her coat and skin; if necessary a conditioner is also applied.After drying every dog is given a spritz of Dapper Dogs cologne.
Nail clipping - the dogs nails are checked and cut if necessary.Care of your dogs feet is important nails that are too long cause discomfort to your dog.
Teeth cleaning - the dogs teeth are scaled by hand to remove excess plaque which if left can cause the teeth to decay. We do not clean teeth that look to be in need of treatment or extraction etc. that is a job for your vet.

Anal glands - if the anal sacs need emptying we will do this.
Ears - the dogs ears will be checked and if necessary excess hair will be plucked from the ear canal. Owners will be advised to seek veterinary advice if there is any sign of soreness or infection.
