Dapper Dogs Terms & Conditions
Dogs are accepted for grooming at Dapper Dogs under the following Terms and Conditions. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
1. Any grooming of a dog which takes place at Dapper Dogs will be taken at the owners own risk. Owners should be aware that grooming may expose pre-existing health/skin problems for which Dapper Dogs cannot be held responsible.
2. In the unlikely event of injury or health concern Dapper Dogs will, if it is thought necessary, contact the dog’s veterinary surgeon and authorise the vet to treat the dog as required. If, for any reason, the dogs vet cannot be contacted then Dapper Dogs will contact Highland veterinary surgery and authorise them to treat the dog. The dog’s owner will be liable for all veterinary costs and will of course be contacted as soon as possible.
3. Clients should be aware that dematting of the dogs coat may cause patchiness and hair loss and expose any pre-existing conditions.
4. Owners of dogs that are overdue for grooming/trimming, matted and/or badly behaved dogs will be charged extra. There will also be an extra charge for dogs that are found to have fleas.
5. It is the aim of Dapper Dogs to make every dogs grooming experience as stress free as possible. Therefore Dapper Dogs will not demat coats when to do so might cause the dog stress, pain, injury and/or suffering. Dapper Dogs will always strive to act in the dog’s best interest and will remove matted/knotted coat in the most humane manner possible. Therefore owners must be aware that in such cases dogs will be clipped for their welfare and comfort.
6. Dogs must be delivered to and collected from Dapper Dogs at the mutually agreed time.
7. A minimum 24 hours’ notice (not including week days and public holidays) must be given for cancellation of any appointment. Failure to do so will result in a broken appointment charge of 50% of the appointment booked.
8. The dog’s owner/carer must accept that at Dapper Dogs the utmost care is taken to ensure the dog’s safety and comfort, however, accidents may very occasionally happen. The equipment used at Dapper Dogs is very sharp; therefore there is the slight possibility that the dog may be accidentally nicked/cut. It must be stressed that such accidents are extremely rare at Dapper Dogs, but there is a minimal risk involved.
9. At Dapper Dogs the dog’s wellbeing always comes first.
